Dr. Adrian Gaty
Dr. Gaty joined CTP in September 2017.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, he spent the first couple decades of his life surgically attached to his library card, and soon found himself majoring in history and literature at Harvard University. Just when he was facing the prospect of a lifetime without a tan, God intervened, calling him to dedicate his life to serving others. Dr. Gaty hasn’t looked back since, earning his medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago and finishing his residency in pediatrics at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
He got married this summer, and his beautiful new bride claims he moved to Texas because of her, a native Austinite. Dr. Gaty, however, finds this reasoning quite suspect, as one hardly needs a reason to move to the greatest state on Earth.
In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, exploring nature, Bible study, watching old movies, planning the ideal homeschool curriculum, and convincing people he became a pediatrician for noble, altruistic reasons and not just because kids are crazy adorable and fill all his days with wonder and delight.
Dr. Andrew Cavanagh, Owner
"My approach to practice involves teaching and including the parents in the decision process. At the same time, I use plenty of humor to put the children at ease...and it's more fun that way!"
Born in Chicago, Dr. Cavanagh got here as fast as he could, moving to Texas at the age of 4.
He earned his undergraduate degree in genetics at Texas A&M University. After graduation, he spent a year in China studying culture and language at a university. He returned to the US to attend medical school at Texas A&M and continued his training as a pediatric resident at the University of South Carolina.
Dr. Cavanagh and his wife moved to Austin eleven years ago and he has practiced pediatrics in the area ever since. In his free time, he enjoys playing with his three children and getting his wife to laugh at his silly jokes. His family most recently traveled to China to bring home their newest member, their adopted son. His hobbies include reading, writing, (he co-authored a college textbook) drawing, and Bible study. He is a record-holding powerlifter and a self-proclaimed comic book geek.
Dr. Jamie Oey
Dr. Jamie Oey joined Chisholm Trail Pediatrics Forest Creek in April 2019. She has decades of experience in pediatrics which include multispecialty care in Los Angeles, California, work at Children's Hospital of Orange County, and owning her own clinic in Downey, California for 13 years before moving to Texas. After practicing in the Dallas area for several years, she set her sights on the beautiful Austin metro area.
Dr. Oey is married, and she and her husband enjoy travelling and trying new foods that fit their plant-based diet.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Oey at our Forest Creek office. She is very knowledgeable, kind and thorough, and we are looking forward to our patients getting to know her.
(Dr. Oey's name is pronounced "wee")
Raquel Goytia, RN, MSN, CPNP
Raquel was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After moving to Texas in 2010, she continued her nursing career as a Neonatal Specialist in the Austin area. Raquel earned her bachelor's in nursing from The University of Texas Arlington while working as a Neonatal/Pediatric flight nurse. After pursuing her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Texas Tech Universtiy Health Science Center, she became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and began working at Chisholm Trail Pediatrics. We are delighted to have her!!
Married to her high school sweetheart, she and her husband have three great kids - Mateo, Josh and Natalia, along with a beautiful granddaughter, Leighla.
She enjoys spending her spare time with family and friends, traveling and running. Raquel is adventurous and not afraid to explore another continent, swim with sharks, or skydive. When she isn't exploring new places, she takes in four legged orphans in need of shelter, food, and a large back yard. She is currently fostering three dogs - Bailey, Gambino and Lola.
